Security Policy

Cape Fear Orthopaedic Clinic is committed to security of our patient’s personal and health information.  Your private information including credit card number, address, name, etc. is encrypted using industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software so that it cannot be read over the internet.  The information is then stored on a secured server.

How will I know if my information is secure?

A little closed padlock or unbroken key will appear on the bottom of your browser’s window when you access a secure page.

The “http” at the beginning of the URL will change to “https” when you access secure pages.

FLU SYMPTOMS

As a precautionary measure, we are asking that patients reschedule appointments if they have signs and symptoms consistent with the flu.

Signs include: fever, headache, tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, and body aches.

Due to the increased risk of H1N1 flu virus, patients who present for an appointment with flu-like symptoms may be rescheduled.   We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but feel these precautions are vital to health and safety of our patients and staff.
